This notice covers this website — the pages at duration.money where you can read about
Duration and leave your email address. It is written to be read, not to cover anyone in legal
fog. If something here is unclear, ask and it will get fixed.
Duration itself — the budgeting app — is not open to the public yet. When it opens, the data you put into the app is a separate matter with its own, fuller privacy notice. Nothing here describes the app; there is no account to sign into and nothing of yours inside it.
What this site collects
There are only two ways this site holds anything about you.
If you register interest. When you submit the form, we store the email address you typed so we can email you when there is genuine news about Duration. That is the entire purpose. We do not add you to a newsletter, sell or share your address, or use it to build a profile of you. You can ask to be removed at any time — one email to support@duration.money and it is gone.
Anonymous, aggregate analytics. We count page visits so we have a rough sense of whether anyone is reading this. This is described in full below and uses no cookies.
That is all. This site has no login, no shopping cart, and no advertising trackers.
Who else is involved
To run the site we rely on two outside services, and it is only fair to name them:
- Resend stores the email addresses left through the interest form and delivers any email we send you. Their privacy policy applies to that data.
- Fathom Analytics provides the visit counts described below.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which — like any web host — processes requests and may keep short-lived, security-related server logs.
We do not send your data anywhere beyond what is needed to do these things.
Analytics: Fathom
We use Fathom Analytics to count visits. Fathom is a privacy-first analytics service that is deliberately different from the usual: it sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect or store personal information. It is run by a small Canadian company, and traffic from the EU is processed and stored entirely within the EU. The numbers we see are anonymous and aggregate — how many people viewed a page, which page, roughly where in the world — never a profile of you. Because of this, there is no consent banner to click through; there is nothing to consent to.
We also record one anonymous event: that a waitlist signup happened, so we can tell whether the form is working. It is a count, not tied to your address or to you.
In the interest of transparency: that Fathom link is a referral link. If you signed up for Fathom through it, we would eventually receive a small credit. It costs you nothing and does not change anything above — we would just rather tell you than not.
Your data, your call
The email address you gave us is the only personal data we hold on this site. You can:
- See it — ask and we will tell you exactly what we have (it is just your address).
- Correct it — tell us the right one.
- Delete it — ask and it is removed, no questions.
Email support@duration.money for any of these.
Changes
If how the site handles data changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves. There is no long history to maintain yet — when there is, we will keep it honest.
